High Expansion Foam Generator
 

Description
The high expansion foam generator is one of the key equipment for high extinguishing system. It has big frothing volume and can be applied in different cases. No other power is needed for this equipment, pressurized water is the only power for this high expansion foam generator. The impeller in water motor will drive the fan to produce foams when there is pressurized water supply. 

Working Principle:
The generator depends on a water motor to drive the fan with 3 bar to 10 waterThere is a inbuilt foam inductor in this generator. A straw is connected with this foam inductor. Foam inductor works as the venturi effect that when water flows through foam inductor, the straw can draw foam concentrate out from a vessel. Foam concentrate then mixed with water and get foam solution. Foam solution was dispersed into droplets when it flows through a nozzle and were sprayed to foaming net. These droplets become thin films and were blew into amount of foams by fan.

Installation
1. There should be no shelter within 0.3 meter around air inlet.
2. There should be no barrier which may hamper the equipment discharging foam within 1 meter in front of foaming net.


Operation
1. Install the equipment correctly with foam outlet pointing to protected area.
2. Connect fire hose with water inlet and put the straw into a vessel with foam concentrate.
3. Start the pump to supply water with pressure from 3~10 bar. Pressurized water will drive the water motor and transmit the power to fun and make foams.
4. Take out the straw from foam concentrate and keep the pump running to wash the equipment with fresh water when stop working.

Maintenance
1. Clean the foaming net constantly. There should be nothing on foaming net anytime.
2. The device should be washed with fresh water after operation every time.
3. Overhaul the equipment once a year. To do the seal test with fresh water with 12 bar pressure and make sure there is no leakage or deformation on any components or connection parts.
4. Do not take down the equipment once it has been installed to avoid damage.
